    DicoverOrg is looking for a Commission Analyst who will be a point of contact for questions relating to all commission issues, including compensation plans, calculations, and attainments. The Commissions Analyst/Manager is a key position that will work closely with the leaders of the Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams, to process, create, implement, define, evolve and report on all things related to DiscoverOrg’s commissions. With commissions currently being done in Excel, the Commissions Analyst/Manager will be tasked with leading and managing the selection, implementation, and upkeep of a commissions system. Don’t think that this role is only about making calculations though.  We need you to also represent the Finance team in crafting new compensation plans, refining existing ones, and helping to interpret and resolve issues that may arise around compensation.  In short, we need you to be both a thinker and a doer, as we’ll be looking for you to identify trends, drive monthly review meetings, and make recommendations on what we can do to improve and execute better going forward.

    Responsibilities

    Here are some of your daily responsibilities as a Commissions Analyst:

    • Process monthly commissions across multiple teams
    • Provide a thorough monthly analysis of attainment, and investigate and explain variances for high/low result fluctuations.
    • Provide high quality, timely responses to the sales field and sales management, fully meeting their informational and reporting needs
    • Select, implement, and manage a commissions system to replace our existing Excel based process
    • Build a monthly analytics and reporting package on commissions
    • Work in conjunction with department assigned FP&A analysts
    • Work directly with the business to identify commission problem areas and pain points within their organization, identifying stakeholders to solve and improve these pain points
    • Model what if scenarios around different aspects of our commission plans
    • Write clear and concise variable compensation plans and effectively communicate those plans to various stakeholders
    • Identify ways that we can increase our sales velocity and retention rates through analysis and insight on the entire commissions process
    • Proactively identify opportunities for change, process improvement, and system enhancements

    Qualifications

    You're likely a great fit for the role if you have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or accounting, or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of strong analytical experience in a commissions, financial planning, business analysis or sales operations role preferred
    • Experience with responsibility for developing and calculating sales compensation strongly preferred
    • Experience with non-Excel based commission systems preferred
    • Excel skills are essential; we would prefer an advanced skillset but will accept a working knowledge with a high aptitude for mastery
    • Salesforce experience is preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
    • Can-do attitude and ability to positively implement change
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent reporting skills with ability to not only gather the appropriate data, but also glean insight to improve the performance of the company’s operations
    • Strategic thinker with excellent problem solving and analytical skills

    • Well organized with strong time management skills
    • Possess the ability to work independently to identify, analyze, and solve business problems while operating as part of a larger team

    We’re looking for a super sharp, analytical and business savvy person to join our team and help drive DiscoverOrg’s success. With that in mind, we’re open to considering candidates very early in their careers up to those that may be at a manager level in years of experience. Note that the title and compensation of course will be commensurate with experience, and that this position does not have any direct reports at this time.
