  • Overview

    The Training & Development Associate serves as a primary content developer for employee training and assists in conducting trainings, both for new and existing employees.


    Here's what a typical day will look like as the Training & Development Associate: 

    • In conjunction with the department leads, formulates teaching outlines and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
    • Working closely with managers, develop content to support the onboarding and ongoing training of employees in various departments, including, but not limited to: sales, customer success, research, marketing, and product development.
    • Work with team leaders to implement strategies to improve employee effectiveness, including development of e-learnings, presentations, teaching aids, handbooks, multimedia visual aids, tutorials, and reference works.
    • Conduct training sessions including, but not limited to onboarding of new employees, refresher training, specific team training, and on-the-job training.
    • Develop and administer training tests to measure employee progress and evaluate effectiveness of training. Report on employee progress to team leaders. 
    • Perform a wide variety of professional tasks, which demand a high level of creativity and imagination, as well as a thorough knowledge of the applicable needs and expectations of employees.
    • Apply educational theory and organizational development theory in the development of training curriculum, content, and training sessions.


    You're likely a great fit for this role if you have: 


    • Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, psychology, or related field.
    • Proven experience in an employee training role with preference given to candidates with at least 1 full year of experience. Knowledge of effective training, learning, and development theories and methods.
    • Experience with eLearning platforms, curriculum development, and content creation to support employee learning and development.
    • Ability to build rapport with employees at various levels (entry-level, middle-management, executives).
    • Proficiency with MS Office, learning management systems, and authoring tools (i.e. Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate).
