    In 2007, in a rental apartment in Columbus, Ohio DiscoverOrg had the vision of building the world’s foremost sales enablement tool. To get there our CEO Henry Schuck and co-founder maxed out their credit cards and borrowed every dime they could find. By 2012, DiscoverOrg had grown to 35 employees and $5 million of revenue. Since then, we’ve taken funding from Global Private Equity firms like TA Associates and The Carlyle Group, and grown to over $150M+ in annualized revenue. However, we’ve been careful not to lose the culture that has made us strong. We’re lean, we’re nimble, we’re passionate and we’re changing the lives of salespeople and business development representatives all over the world.     Your role as Sales Development Representative will be to engage and qualify leads to build pipeline for our Account Executives. We have a very strong marketing arm, which means half your pipeline will be qualifying inbound leads from our website, the other half you’ll generate through classic prospecting techniques, resulting in an average of 50-80 meetings per month that pay you commission on top of your salary.

    Responsibilities

    Here's what your typical day will look like as a Sales Development Representative:

     

    • Effectively and independently distill and deliver the DiscoverOrg value proposition, articulating DiscoverOrg’s product, integrations, and features over the phone
    • Follow the established DiscoverOrg sales process to handle a high-activity pipeline of leads
    • Persuade Director, VP, and C-level executives the value of our full suite of our products

    Qualifications

    For this role we weight your innate abilities and personality traits much more than your experience, but you might also have some of these qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • 1-2+ years’ experience in sales or account management
    • DiscoverOrg Certification preferred
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills
    • CRM usage experience (Salesforce preferred)
    • Strong ability to close sales
    • Technology savvy
