    In 2007, in a rental apartment in Columbus, Ohio DiscoverOrg had the vision of building the world’s foremost sales enablement tool. To get there our CEO Henry Schuck and co-founder maxed out their credit cards and borrowed every dime they could find. By 2012, DiscoverOrg had grown to 35 employees and $5 million of revenue. Since then, we’ve taken funding from Global Private Equity firms like TA Associates and The Carlyle Group, and grown to over $150M+ in annualized revenue. However, we’ve been careful not to lose the culture that has made us strong. We’re lean, we’re nimble, we’re passionate and we’re changing the lives of salespeople and business development representatives all over the world.     Responsibilities

    Here is what a typical day will look like as the Director, DevOps:

    • Experience managing operations teams, preferably with experience managing remote teams
    • Experience with cloud infrastructure and management, preferably AWS
    • Familiarity with web architecture & back end systems design (traditional servers and newer serverless architectures a plus).
    • CI/CD methodologies (e.g., Jenkins)
    • Configuration management tools (Chef, Opsworks, Terraform)
    • Familiarity w/ scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, and Bash along with associated configuration formats such as JSON & YAML
    • Experience w/ Networks, WAF, ACLs, Routing, & VPNs
    • Linux/command line operations
    • Familiarity w/ Monitoring & alerting systems (Cloudwatch, DataDog, New Relic, PagerDuty)
    • Experience with managing vendors and budget
    • Experience with SaaS, SLAs, 24/7 uptime requirements.
    • Experience with security standards and best practices, ideally experience with security assessments (i.e. SOC2, ISO, etc.)
    • Reports to CTO
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% (East/West coasts)
    • Comfortable interfacing with other business units

    You're likely a great fit for this opportunity if you have the following:

    • Highly qualified Director of IT/DevOps with a broad knowledge of hardware, software, network, and cloud technologies to provide a powerful combination of analysis, implementation, leadership and support to drive business forward via cutting edge technology stacks.
    • Proven ability at implementing technology based solutions to address complex information requirements.
    • Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, AWS Cloud, CDNs, Build pipeline automation, and network/server infrastructures.
    • Managed and mentored Operations/DevOps teams to increase efficiency while cultivating a work friendly and productive atmosphere.
    • Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity of Operations strategies, and SLAs.

    Leadership:

    • Highly Communicative – Encourages over communication within teams to reduce inefficiencies and ensure clarity.
    • Scrum Management – Led daily standups for dev and ops teams to minimize issues and blocker interference with ongoing SDLC.
    • Exudes confidence and shows commitment to assigned tasks, initiatives, and the larger business picture.
    • Maintains positive attitude to promote team motivation towards continued success.
    • Creative thinker and problem solver.
