    DiscoverOrg’s Research team is the nation’s largest in-house research team specifically focused on providing B2B sales and marketing intelligence. Our data drives the revenue of some of the largest companies in the world, and there’s a need for someone to come in and further innovate our cutting-edge research techniques.

     

    DiscoverOrg is looking for a hungry and inquisitive professional to manage a research team and transform the way the company gathers information on companies. The Senior Manager of Market Intelligence (i.e. Firmographics) should have strong critical thinking skills and a knack for noticing small details that can make a big difference. Gathering this type of data requires ingenuity, determination, and a competitive nature. We’re looking for someone who has these qualities, and the ability to instill these qualities in others.

    Responsibilities

    Here is what a typical day will look like as a Senior Manager, Market Intelligence:

     

    • Manage a team of people responsible for navigating filings, reports, articles, and internet sites for firmographic details such as numbers of employees, annual revenue, and industry
    • Drive innovation in the way DiscoverOrg gathers company attributes
    • Coordinate with third-party data vendors on research processes, data deliveries, and quality of work
    • Optimize the way DiscoverOrg uses third-party data vendors to gather company attributes
    • Create and update research training materials and standards for team use
    • Responsible for project assignment and tracking within the team

    Qualifications

    You're likely a great fit for this role if this sounds like you:

     

    • Professional experience gathering company attributes (industry, number of employees, etc…)
    • Prior experience in sales development, demand generation, or market research strongly preferred
    • Prior experience managing and motivating a team
    • Ability to understand complex ideas
    • Prior experience working with data and managing with data
    • Bachelor’s Degree
